Key Responsibilities

  • Perform manual and automated testing for current and upcoming products
  • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for embedded systems, firmware, and applications
  • Validate device functionality, connectivity, and performance under various use cases and environments
  • Conduct regression, functional, smoke, exploratory, and stress testing
  • Create and maintain clear, thorough documentation of test cases, results, and defects
  • Track issues using bug tracking systems and work closely with engineering to resolve them
  • Contribute to product release documentation with QA summaries and validation reports
  • Collaborate with software developers, hardware engineers, and product managers throughout the development lifecycle
  • Support debugging and validation at various stages, from prototype through to mass production
  • Assist with verification and validation procedures required for certifications or external audits
  • Identify process bottlenecks and quality risks; propose and implement improvements
  • Expand automated testing capabilities and contribute to the development of internal testing frameworks
  • Stay updated on new testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience in QA for embedded systems, IoT devices, or wearable technology
  • Involvement in product development from early prototypes to production-scale testing
  • Experience working in agile environments, ideally within startups or cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and testing types: functional, regression, smoke, exploratory, etc
  • Hands-on experience with manual and automated test creation and execution
  • Familiarity with scripting and automation tools (e.g., Python, Selenium, or similar)
  • Proficiency with bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira) and version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Understanding of hardware-software interaction, firmware behavior, and device interfaces (USB, BLE, UART, etc.)
  • Strong command of written and spoken English (Level C1+)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environment
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with wearable technology or medical devices
  • Familiarity with interdisciplinary R&D environments
  • Knowledge of medical device standards and regulatory frameworks (FDA, ISO 13485, IEC 62304)
  • Exposure to cybersecurity principles in QA contexts

Working Conditions

  • This position is located in Prague, Czech Republic and requires regular travel to our Prague R&D office
  • Ability to work with and handle wearable hardware, including repeated setup and teardown of test configurations
  • Occasional hands-on testing involving physical movement of wearables on mannequins or users
  • May require extended screen time and use of electronic tools for debugging
  • Some travel may be required for on-site testing or factory validation depending on project stage

What we offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience
  • Opportunities for professional development and career growth
  • Collaborative and innovative work environment
